We are seeking a natural-born seller who understands the nuances of
selling into advertising agencies and brands to generate new business.

WHO We’re looking for

We are looking for a high-energy Business Development Executive. A person who is adept at developing and nurturing client relationships that ultimately lead to revenue driving opportunities. This client-facing, hunting role requires proven ability and a solid base of industry contacts. They understand how internal budget decisions are made and are committed to uncovering new ways to add value via opendorse’s offering.


+    Report directly to Co-Founder/ Chief Sales Officer

+    Aggressively prospect and close business with new and existing agency contacts and brands

+    Prospect for new business opportunities in the social media and sports sponsorship industry, and add new advertising and digital marketing agencies to opendorse’s roster of clients

+    Pursue new business opportunities through development of proactive social media activation concepts that utilize opendorse’s network of athlete influencers to achieve marketing objectives

+    Develop campaign recommendations decks in response to RFP’s and pitches (outline the proposed strategy and guide the campaigns team in building out athlete recommendations)

+    Build and maintain a strong knowledge of opendorse’s core services, processes and solutions to sell, and be able to articulate value proposition to senior decision makers at advertising/marketing agencies

+    Provide relevant marketing pieces (one-pagers/case studies) to generate and nurture consistently strong pipeline of qualified leads, and record lead activity within our CRM to ensure forecast accuracy

+    Keep current with emerging social media and sponsorship marketing / industry trends and best practices


+    A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience selling advertising, digital media, or software to advertising agencies

+    A minimum of 2-3 years experience in sports, social, or software.

+    A deep-rooted passion in the Sports Industry with the ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge of the marketing agency ecosystem and campaign servicing

+    Deep brand and agency relationships are a MUST

+    Ability to develop campaign recommendations, prepare presentations, and comfortable presenting at all levels

+    Passion for digital and social media and using those disciplines to advance business goals

+    Capacity to be organized, self-motivated and driven to succeed and achieve goals, sometimes with minimal supervision; comfortable asking for help and open to clear directions

+    Experience working with marketing agencies to execute digital campaigns

+    Working knowledge of athlete endorsements and activations preferred

+    A degree in Business, Advertising or a related field


Our HQ is located in Lincoln, NE, with satellite offices in Chicago and soon NYC.
It would be our preference for this person to already be located in NYC.
