BIG TEN NETWORK “BTN TAILGATE 2016”
Big Ten Network launched BTN Tailgate, a live 90-minute pregame show that takes college football
fans on-campus to experience the Saturday morning football scene during Big Ten football conference play.
To amplify it’s debut, BTN activated social endorsements from former players of each host school. BTN visited the campuses of Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Indiana, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin. By choosing athletes relevant to each fan base, the network drove awareness, attendance and fan engagement around each BTN Tailgate show.
BTN leveraged opendorse to pitch, on-board, and activate 24 former Big Ten players.
