My name is Elijah Williams. I am a post-graduate student athlete at Howard University where I am a part of the men’s basketball team. I recently graduated from Gettysburg College with a major in Health Sciences and a focus in physical therapy, as well as a minor in Africana Studies. There, I participated in initiatives and programs across campus that promoted diversity, equity, and inclusion in a predominately white institution. I was also a pivotal piece in the rebuilding of the Gettysburg Men’s Basketball program not only on the court, but off it as well. Prior to graduation, I was selected by the Gettysburg Athletics department to represent our Senior Student Athlete class in celebration of our successes, lessons learned, and future endeavors. Finally, I have been fortunate enough to work in professional sports in my desired field as an athletic training/physical therapy intern with the Cleveland Browns.
