I grew up in San Diego, a place I proudly call home. It’s where I first learned to swim and throw a ball—in the shallow end of the pool—with my dad coaching from the deck. That’s where my love for the game began, and nearly twenty years later, that same passion still drives me. From the start, I set ambitious goals. As a freshman in high school, I told my counselor I was going to Stanford. By sophomore year, I was telling everyone I’d be competing in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. I stayed true to those dreams. At Stanford, I became a four‑time First Team All‑American. I went on to represent Team USA in Rio, and again in Tokyo—where I tied the American record for goals scored in a single Olympics.
