Hello, my name is Abdou Samb. I am an undecided sophomore at the University of Rhode Island but I’m interested in studying psychology and business. I am an aspiring sports psychologist that wishes to help a diverse range of students to work through mental health problems. I want to be able to open my own practice one day as well. This past summer I got an opportunity to work the Rhody basketball camp with elementary school students. I was able to motivate children and help them with mental blocks or nervousness they were dealing with. I am looking for an internship in the summer to gain more information in the sports psychology field and make connections with fellow workers in the field.
