My name is Abigail Whitman, and I was born and raised in the cowboy town of Laramie, Wyoming. I am double majoring in Accounting and Outdoor Recreation and Tourism and Management. I am excited to be #7 in the indoor 5k and #5 in the outdoor 10k of UW all time. I am honored to be running the 5k and 10k on the University of Wyoming team. Besides running, I like to be in the outdoors whenever I can while spending it with family and friends. I enjoy climbing, summiting mountains, paddleboarding, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, trail running, and much more. Some big accomplishments I have done with these activities are summiting the Grand Teton and Teewinot in the Teton Range, hiking 14ers in Colorado, pushing grades on climbing routes, and pushing myself through challenging physical and mental moments. I am grateful to be surrounded by my teammates and friends that all push me to become a better person in running, as a student, and in my day-to-day life.
