My name is Alana Machac. I am a junior at Augustana University, and currently on the Acrobatics and Tumbling team, jersey number 2. I am originally from Waco Texas, and did competitive gymnastics for 13 years. My current major is sports management with a minor in coaching, and I hope to one day become a collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling coach. I am a person who is constantly chasing my goals and I will always try and persevere no matter the situation. My biggest goals are to pave the way for female student athletes to come. I want to also make a lasting impact on society and my team. I strive to be the best version of myself everyday and I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help of my coaches, family, and teammates. It has been a dream of mine since I was a kid to leave a footprint in women’s sports in some way! It means the world to me that I am able to do a sport created by women, for women and to have the opportunity to potentially make a lasting impact on society is surreal.
