I was born and raised in Miami, Florida from Cuban parents. My dad began teaching me Judo when I was 9 years old in the backyard of our home, and I fell in love with the sport. Fast forward 24 years later, I am a 3 time Olympian, 6 time National Champion and 9 time Pan Am championship medalist. I have three bronze medals from Pan American Games and have 6 Grand Slam and Grand Prix medals. Judo has given me so much and I plan on giving back. I have already
