About
Biography
I was born with Congenital Femoral Deficiency which means I have a short left leg by 18cm (8 inches). After more than 10 surgeries, my journey with adaptive sports started. I compete in para athletics and wheelchair basketball but have also played wheelchair tennis, waterpolo and volleyball. I am on my high school track team and look forward to continue my athletic journey in college. In Paris, the goal is to represent my country in a major way and win a medal. My best achievements are winning a silver medal in the 2024 World Championship in Kobe, Japan and being named High School Para Track and Field Athlete of the Year. I enjoy working with children and volunteer for Rancho Halos Wheelchair Basketball Prep Team. I help teach our younger athletes wheelchair basketball skills. I have volunteered in sports clinics for PlayLA, showing the younger kids with disabilities how to throw the javelin and discus. https://www.teamusa.com/profiles/arelle-middleton
