Hello! My name is Ashanté Gatlin and I am from San Diego, California. I graduated from SUBR earning a B.S. in mechanical engineering and a B.S. in sociology. I am now pursuing an MPA to make a difference in community engagement and social impact, preferably in sports organizations. Growing up in a low income community and not having as many resources or exposure as kids in other areas fueled my work ethic early on. I want to be known as someone who faced adversity head on and still rose up to write her own story.
