Hi, my name is Ava Werner. I’m from Boulder, Colorado, but moved across the country to Elon University to pursue my dreams of being a division one athlete. I have played soccer my whole life, but unfortunately quickly found out that it is a precarious life to live. Facing major injuries, like 3 ACL tears, has taught me about my identity and finding love for the little things. As I move into my sophomore year I am at a very exciting time in my life where I am starting to make early decisions about what my future will look like, I am extremely interested in being a child psychologist, and have became a volunteer at children’s hospital shadowing a occupational, speech, and physical therapist for kids with disabilities. My passion for life keeps me driven and focused on what is ahead.
