Hey there! My name is Ben Schmied and I am a senior at Minnesota State. I have competed for the Mavericks for the last 5 years as a member of the Cross Country and Track programs. Over that time I have found success and improvement, capturing back-to-back Northern Sun titles in the 600m run, multiple all-conference accolades and have appeared as a part of the Mavericks NSIC and NCAA championship contingencies multiple times. Outside of running I love watching motorsports and going hiking. I am happy to say I am pursuing my passions in life within my schooling, as I am completing a bachelors in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Coaching. Post-college I want to be a high school or collegiate coach so that I may impart my wisdom and experiences onto the next generation of athletes. I desperately want to inspire others and help them find their 'why' they play. I look forward to working with brands that align with my brand of making the world a brighter, healthier, happier place!
