Bria Lawson is a Division 1 Track and Field thrower at Texas Southern University majoring in Political Science with a minor in Spanish. She is a mental health advocate who openly shares her experience living with conversion disorder to reduce stigma and promote wellness, particularly in the athletics community. She has served in the Student Government Association as Parliamentarian, and currently serves as Deputy Elections Commissioner. She is also one of the team captains for the Texas Southern University Track and Field Team, as well as on the e-board of Tigers Helping Hand, Esther Funds Foundation, TSU NextGen, and an active member of HBCUnity, TSU Pre-Law Society, HerTSU, Underground Fashion Society, and the University Criminal Justice Association. Bria is a part time coach at St. Agnes College Preparatory and Perfect Storm Athletics. She is a well rounded creator with interests in fashion, art, makeup, wellness, fitness, and politics, and is open to all opportunities.
