Hi! My name is Caity McMahon and I am a member of the Ottawa University Powerlifting team and am an Elementary Education major! I love to take pictures of the world around me and making amazing memories with friends. Throughout high school I was was the manager of the girls basketball team, was a member of National Honors Society, was my school’s powerlifting representative and was a Student Ambassador. When I’m not powerlifting I enjoy to crochet. Along with this, when I am home I work as a swim instructor at Aqua-Tots swim school! I love working with kids and getting to see them achieve their goals! I hope to be a teacher once I am done in college and plan on continuing powerlifting until I can no longer compete. Mental health advocacy is such a huge part of my life as someone who deals with mental health problems. Even in the hardest times of my life, I make an effort to ensure that everyone I am around is taken care of and knows that they can come to me for anything.
