Hi my names Cali Triggs, I’m just a nobody chasing the dream of playing professionally and, one day, representing the U.S. at the Olympics. College hasn’t looked anything like I imagined. My freshman year I wasn’t even wanting to play, I ended up on a D1 juco team by chance. Went to nationals 2x and won accolades within the conference. At my freshman national appearance I gained to things: The dream to go pro, and a torn ligament. And from there it’s history, injury, illness, you name it, has forced me to sit on the sidelines, start over, and fight for the game I love more times than I can count. It’s been frustrating, painful, and humbling—but it’s also grown my faith in ways I never expected. Jesus is the reason I keep going. Every opportunity I have is because of Him, quite literally i don’t know how I’m here. My desire is to point people back to him whether I reach the professional stage or not. So that others may taste and see that He’s good, even when life sucks. :)
