A native of Sumter, South Carolina, Cedric attended Lakewood High School where he played both wide receiver and defensive back, finishing his senior season with 32 tackles, four interceptions, and three passes defended. After originally reopening his recruitment aster signing to NC State, he joined the Gamecocks in 2025, reuniting with his older brother, former Wolfpack and South Carolina cornerback Brandon Cisse. As a redshirt freshman, Cedric contributed on the scout team as Scout Team DPOTY and made a brief game appearance at corner against Coastal Carolina, demonstrating strong instincts and versatility in the secondary while majoring in exercise science.
