Biography
Clayton Young, ASICS pro athlete and 2024 Paris Olympian, began his career at Brigham Young University. As a senior, he secured the NCAA 10,000 meter track title in 2019. He has achieved remarkable success in road racing, winning four U.S. titles at 8k, 10k, 15k and 20k. He ran a breakthrough marathon performance in October 2023 where he clocked 2:08:00—the 7th fastest time by an American—and met the Olympic Standard. In February 2024, Clayton placed second at the U.S. Olympic Trials Marathon and qualified for Team USA. Beyond running, Clayton enjoys "daddy-daughter-dates" with his two girls and evening walks with his wife, Ashley. He holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering. Clayton adheres to the ASICS motto "Sound mind, sound body."
