Hi, My name is Dane Turner and I would like to start by thanking you for taking the time to view my page. To give you a piece of my history and some information about me I grew up in a small town ~40 miles north east of Tulsa, Oklahoma called Locust Grove. I’m currently studying to receive an Exercise Science degree to work towards becoming a physical therapist. While growing up my Native American heritage was ingrained into me as I am 1/8 Choctaw and 1/8 Otoe-Missourian. This has caused me to be very supportive of the native culture. With your support I would appreciate the opportunity to use my voice as an athlete to reach other native kids and communities. As there is no word in the Choctaw language for goodbye I’ll leave you with chi pisa la chike meaning until we meet again.
