Hi! My name is Danelle McCullough, I am a Junior at Huston-Tillotson University with a major in Biology. After graduation, I plan on pursuing a career in healthcare and giving back to my community. I have played volleyball for 12 years now and have earned several accolades during that time (1st Team All-District, 2x All-Tournament team, and Defensive Player of the Year just to name a few.) I also played soccer and ran track in high school, earning a few accolades in those as well. Not only have I been an overachiever in sports, I am also one when it comes to academics. I graduated high school with a 4.0 and being #10 out of 400 students. I was part of the National Honor Society, and my current collegiate GPA is a 3.6. Socially, I am a huge advocate for mental health awareness. I struggle with my mental health myself, so it is important for me to educate others (especially people of color) on the significance of mental health and bring awareness to the resources available to seek help.
