Daryl Porter Jr. is a native South Floridian, cornerback for the University of Miami Hurricanes, and transfer from the West Virginia Mountaineers. He is a graduate of American Heritage High School, where he played cornerback. During his senior year, Porter Jr. was All-Broward County First Team honoree. He helped the Patriots to a 10-2 mark as a senior. Porter is a versatile defender who can play cornerback or safety. During his 2021 NCAA season, Porter Jr. completed 46 tackles, 40 solo tackles, 6 assist, 5 pass deflections and had an interception running 43 yards. In his time at WVU, Porter Jr. made the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team, and was named WVU Scout Team Defensive Player of the week.
