I recently earned a silver medal in 100 breast stroke at Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. I am a blind d-1 student athlete competing for an Ivy League university. I have Stargardt Disease, which is a form of juvenile macular degeneration. I am new to para competition but in 2 meets I have broken the American records in 50 Free, 100 Free, 100 Breast, 100 Back, 100 Fly and 200 IM. Although I qualified to compete in the 200 breast at Olympic Trials, I chose to focus on Paralympic competition this year in hopes of representing Team USA in Tokyo. When I compete in big races, I do a special salute to honor my two best friends from my home town who have always been fans. I have three older brothers and a cat named Cookie.
