Biography
Hi, I’m Eliza Buerk! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I am currently a high school senior, signed with Davidson College to play Division 1 women’s basketball. I am an extremely passionate advocate for mental health in athletes. I am part of the Kevin Love Fund Youth Advisory Council, a national program that is fighting to reduce the stigma of discussions surrounding mental health in children and teens. Alongside this, I serve as the Editor of the Self-Care section of Althea Magazine, a magazine devoted to women’s sports. Mental health advocacy is important to me because, throughout life, there have been times when I didn’t know how to handle highs and lows. I want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn how to understand and protect their mental health.
