I am a student-athlete on the beach volleyball team at UC Berkeley planning to major in Integrative Biology. I am interested in medicine because a few years back, I had surgery on my elbow due to an injury that happened during my indoor volleyball season. Overall that year was unexciting, as I wasn’t allowed back on the court, but the memorable experiences of meeting with my orthopedic surgeon influenced me. I believe being in that environment and how they rehabilitated my arm back to perfect playing conditions really inspired me to wanna pursue medicine. I really enjoy helping others and look forward to learning more about the medical field. I am currently exploring career paths in medicine, such as orthopedics, physical therapy, and dermatology.
