I am a sophomore at MSU-Mankato, running Cross Country and Track. I am majoring in psychology, and am passionate about mental health and the vital role that it plays in sports. In high school I was a multi-time state qualifier, multi-time all conference, and was the captain of both the Track and Soccer teams. I played four sports my junior/senior year (XC, Soccer, Track, and Swimming). Since, XC and Soccer were both during the fall sports season I had to manage both sports simultaneously, which was a exciting (but difficult) challenge. I enjoy playing and watching a variety of sports outside of running. I believe that sports are a truly magical part of our lives and bring a lot of good into the world. I also believe that athletes need to find some sort of balance in their lives away from their sport, which is something that I have been attempting to bring into my own life recently.
