I am a senior women’s basketball player at the University of Illinois with one year of eligibility after this season. I am on the board of my school’s minority student athlete group and a member of the Big Ten Equity Coalition. I am passionate about mental health awareness and am a part of the Bandana Project as a peer mental health aide. I currently intern with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and love being involved in the type one diabetes community as a type one diabetic myself.
