Played point guard at Magnolia HS before ending his high school career at Concordia HS, where he led his team to the state final four playoffs. Rated as the 4th-best player in the 6A TAPPS District 4 League, Offensive MVP and Newcomer of the Year, first team 6A TAPPS All-State and All-District, Named to the 6A TAPPS State All-Tournament Team. Averaged 11.1 points, 5.5 assists, 1.9 steals and 4.1 rebounds per game.
