Born in Tennesee and raised in Kentucky, Sunny's movement journey began at 3 years old with gymnastics. After years of high level competition in the sport, she was forced to pull back due to a number of injuries. Sunny then went on to attend UPenn's Wharton school of business, where she was introduced to breaking during her freshman year. She joined the breaking club and immediately fell in love with it's physical challenges and artistic self-expression. In 2012, she moved to Queens, NY, where she began traveling and battling. She quickly became one of the top ranked bgirls in the US and recently quit her job at Estée Lauder to pursue dance full-time. This decision was motivated by breaking's inclusion in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. With a contagious smile, Sunny aims to inspire others to express themselves through dance by opening a dance center in the future.
