About
Biography
Hi, my name is Jacobi Sebock. I am 20 years old. I was born in Midwest City Oklahoma. I am currently enrolled at the University of Central Oklahoma and am going to play basketball. I was born with many medical conditions. I have a genetic disorder called Hypohidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia. I was born without sweat glands. I have asthma, allergies, and a grade-two heart blockage. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s at 16. Coaches have been afraid to play me my whole life. I was always told by doctors that I would never be able to play sports. My parents did tons of research and found a way for me to play. I understood that if I overheat, I could die. My parents wanted me to realize how serious this was and if I wanted to play, I had to do everything I could to stay hydrated and keep as cool as I could. I won the USA Today Courage award and the video link tells about my life story. I want to be a role model for kids to know they can do it to https://youtu.be/BfcdqX3M4So?si=DzUXAxYem_bEPqyq
