Hi! My name is Jenni and I’m a cheerleader at Elon University! I have been cheering for over a 10 years, as a kid I used to compete for my town but as I grew up I fell in love with sideline cheer - what I do here at Elon. Cheerleading has given me so much confidence, so many friends and an outlet to truly be myself over the years. I’m primarily a backspot and if you don’t know a lot about cheer that may mean nothing to you as I’m usually hidden behind stunts and pyramids. My main priority is helping take some weight off my bases while keeping my top girl balanced and overall safe. If something goes wrong, I’m in charge of making the split second decisions and getting everyone safely down to the ground. In the future, after my time as an Elon cheerleader has passed, I hope to further my education and become a Physician Assistant, likely in orthopedics. It would be just another way fulfill my passion of keeping people safe and healthy - just like I do every day at practice.
