John Goree is a defensive tackle at Langston University. This is his first year at Langston. At Houston Baptist University, John Goree led the defensive tackles in sacks and tied for the number of tackles for loss. John was also a go to special teams player especially on Punt and Kickoff Return teams. Out of Summer Creek High School, he was rewarded the Defensive Player of the year that will always be displayed on the walls of his high school. In his senior year he had 81 tackles, 25 tackles for losses, 37 QB Hurries and 12.5 sacks. A true athlete that played high school basketball for two years and played on the varsity baseball team. Rivals had him ranked as a 2-star Prospect. Named as a Player to Watch by Dave Campbell's Texas Football. He was named by PrepStar's Texas Top Performer 5 times this year.
