Biography
My name is Violet "Jojo" Chobak and I am a goalie (#29) for the Women’s Ice Hockey team at Saint Cloud State University. I am a senior and am currently pursuing a degree in Nursing. I began my academic and athletic career at the University of Minnesota-Duluth (2 years) and ultimately found my new home here in Saint Cloud. Most recently, I was also named to the 2023 U.S. Collegiate Select Team and helped the United States U22 team sweep Canada in the three-game series. Apart from hockey, I grew up on the west side of Chicago in a Christian household with two older brothers and am very faith and family-oriented. Notable Achievements: 2018 USA Hockey National Goaltending Camp participant 2021-22 WCHA Scholar-Athlete 2021-22 WCHA All-Academic Team WCHA Goaltender of the Month (Jan. 2022) 2023 Collegiate Select Series participant 2023 USA Hockey Women’s National Festival participant 2023 USA Hockey National Goaltending Camp participant Three-time WCHA Goaltender of the Week
