About
Biography
Hi, I'm Jordan Bravo, an athlete at Soka University of America, competing in Cross Country and Track in the NAIA. As captain of the XC and Distance Track Squad, I lead with a focus on teamwork over individuality. I initially started running to get fit for soccer, but it quickly became more than just a way to stay in shape. The tough practices and long runs with my teammates created deep bonds that felt like family—what I love most about running. Recently, I trained with a top Ekiden team in Japan, where I truly grasped the essence of teamwork. In Ekiden, the baton, or "tasuki," symbolizes collective effort, with each runner's performance directly impacting the team's success. This experience solidified my belief that running isn’t just about personal achievement—it’s about uplifting your team. As I look ahead to pursuing professional running after graduation, I’m confident that with the support of my running family, I’m ready for whatever challenges lie ahead.
