Jovanni Smeriglio is an American ice hockey forward known for his exceptional skills and leadership on the ice. Born on November 3, 2006, in Danbury, Connecticut, he stands at 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 168 pounds. Smeriglio began his hockey journey with the Westchester Express, a youth hockey organization. In his junior year, he joined the Brookfield-Bethel-Danbury-Immaculate (BBDI) co-op team, a collaboration among several Connecticut high schools. During the 2023-2024 season, Smeriglio made significant contributions, including scoring overtime goals in three of BBDI's most crucial games, leading the team to the CIAC Division III boys hockey title. Off the ice, Smeriglio is active in his community, volunteering at local hockey rinks and organizing youth development camps.
