About
Biography
Justin is a childhood cancer survivor. Growing up, he was not encouraged to pursue sport and it wasn’t until he was 31 years old, already a husband, father and business owner when he discovered the opportunity to compete in Para-athletics. Without giving up his family or career and without formal training, he etched out a successful career, becoming a 5 time All-American, 9 time US Record holder, IWAS World games medalist and recently made the 2023 Parapan Games in Chile. Beyond that, he’s a disability advocate starting the BOOM Awards, a statewide award ceremony for folks with disabilities, a member of the Small Business Association of Michigan’s Leadership Council and a proud member of the Sault St. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
