I overcame a life-altering injury from a weightlifting accident resulting in two severe burst fractures in my thoracic spine, tearing muscles and ligaments in my lower back, spinal fluid leaking amidst my internal organs, and being told I would never lift weights or compete in sports again by multiple doctors as an 18 year old in junior college in 2015. I decided to make this adversity the best thing that ever happened to me, and became a two-time All-American at UCLA and am now an Olympic Hopeful in track and field for Team USA in the hammer throw. I have competed at and improved my ranking at every United States Track and Field National Championship since I graduated from UCLA in 2019, most recently finishing 3rd at the 2024 Olympic Trials.
