Hi I am Kai Perala a student athlete at Pacific Lutheran University majoring in business with a minor in engineering. I am a first year player on the PLU baseball team who specializes in the catching position. A fun fact about me is I am a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with Tcell ALL leukemia in November of 2021 and have been going through routine chemotherapy treatments but it has not stopped me from playing my favorite sport of baseball. I have many hobbies but I mostly like anything to do with physically demanding. For example I am an avid mountain biker, I love to wake surf and water ski, you can also find me on the ski slopes or hiking. My future career plan is to become a firefighter outside of college since I love to serve my community in anyway I can but specifically saving lives. Cancer is a very daunting illness to go through at a young age but I never let it stop me. I was still able to play my senior year season of baseball and get an offer to play baseball at PLU.
