My name is Kaia Schmidt and I was born and raised in West Linn, Oregon. I am currently an undergraduate student-athlete studying Pharmaceutical Sciences on a pre-med track at University of California, Irvine. At UC Irvine, I am a member of the Women's Cross Country team as well as the Track & Field team. I enjoy running, traveling, biking, and snowboarding. I am very passionate about youth's involvement in sports and have been an assistant coach for a youth soccer program, Willamette United Football Club, for a few years now and have worked as a sports camp counselor for a variety of different places. During Covid I organized a neighborhood basketball clinic than ran out of my driveway where children aged 6-10 would come an hour a week and learn new skills and teamwork building in a fun and competitive environment. Academically, I am a Pharmaceutical Sciences major and I am planning on pursuing medical school post undergrad.
