Hello! My name is Kaiya Johnson and for the upcoming school year I will be a junior at San Jose State. I am on the track & field team as a mid-distance sprinter running the 200, 400 and all relays. In addition to being a student athlete I am apart of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) for both San Jose State and NCAA. For my schools SAAC, I am the on the executive board as the the Publicity Chair focuisng on providing creative ideas to publicize SAAC, updating the SAAC Instagram, creating fliers and posters for events and working in conjunction with the events chair to publicize events. For NCAA SAAC, I am the Mountain West Representative, focusing on legislative decisions that impact all student-athletes. Outside of these responsibilities I enjoy reading, hikes, my family and holistic health!
