My name is Kanders Dukes, and I am a dedicated student-athlete with varsity experience in lacrosse, tennis, cross country, and competitive gymnastics. I was honored to be selected twice to compete at Gymnastics Nationals, an achievement that reflects the hard work and discipline I bring to every sport I pursue. Throughout my athletic career, I’ve also earned senior year awards, multiple scholarships, and graduated with several academic cords, demonstrating my commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom. Overcoming challenges such as injuries has strengthened my resilience and leadership, shaping the way I approach every opportunity. What makes me unique is the way I connect my firsthand athletic experience with my passion for sports journalism. From a young age, I was inspired by Sports Illustrated and TV analysts who broke down the game, motivating me to write and capture sports moments in a way that connects with others.
