Hi! My name is Kate Nixon, a first year student at UC Berkeley from the Boston area. I am pursuing a dual degree in Molecular Cell Biology and Business. In addition to a large academic load, I balance twenty hour training weeks as a Division I NCAA athlete on Cal’s rowing team. In high school, I attended Phillips Exeter Academy where I developed an interest in finance through courses in economics, and through a program originally run by undergraduate Yale students called Females for Finance, in which I became a school ambassador. I am a dedicated learner with a strong work ethic. At Berkeley I am a Corporate Relations committee member for Berkeley Women in Business (BWIB). In this role, I source club sponsors and organize events aimed towards professional development. I am also a consultant for Venture Strategy Solutions, one of Berkeley’s premier consulting clubs. This semester my team is working with Handshake (Series F, $450M funding).
