I am a student athlete football player at the University of Tulsa studying a Mechanical Engineering. I am a current Reading Partner at Mitchell Elementary School. (Reading Partners became part of the Tulsa educational landscape in 2013, when we first began placing community volunteers in low-income schools to help kids master basic reading skills. Our one-on-one tutoring model empowers students to succeed in reading and in life by engaging community volunteers to provide individualized, personal attention to each student in our program.) I am also involved with MADE at TU. (Where TU mechanical engineering students have focused their talents on projects that address the special needs of local residents with physical and developmental disabilities. The venture became known as the Make a Difference Engineering (MADE at TU) initiative, a program that has fundamentally improved the lives of many disabled children.)
