Biography
Kenny is a Team USA athlete and 3x American Record holder who has competed at the world’s most prestigious international competitions, including the Olympic Hopes Regatta, Sprint World Cup, Junior and Under-23 World Championships, ICF Super Cup, and the Pan American Championships. In addition, he has competed at many domestic races including three sets of U.S. Olympic Trials, eight National Team Trials, and nine National Championships. Primary accolades include being the fastest canoeist in American history - holding the Senior, Under-23, and Junior American records in the 200m (the shortest competitive distance). Also included are 26 gold medals and 60 total medals at the National Championships. Kenny has a World Ranking of 24th for the C1 (canoe singles) 200m and 23rd for the C1 500m in 2024. Kenny has suffered in the past from a benign tumor on his pancreas, causing him to have dangerously low blood sugars. He currently balances full-time position at work and full-time training.
