I never rowed before coming to Ohio state. I was a swimmer with a torn acl who could not compete my senior year of high school. But, I have always had a passion for sports so I decided to accept a position on the women’s rowing team at Ohio state. But being an athlete at The Ohio State university but being an athlete does not define who I am. I am from Cincinnati, Ohio and my hometown is a big part of who I am. In high school, I was voted class clown and I will never let that go. With goofiness comes responsibility, so I am constantly working whether it is volunteering or studying to keep up my grades so I can make deans list like how I did my first semester of my freshman year of college. While rowing is not a super well known sport, I am a female athlete who has sacrificed so much to be able to get better and better. I want to inspire girl athletes in my hometown and across the country.
