Humanae! Nu Kutoven Stevens me nanea taboosi dicutta. Hello! My name is Kutoven Stevens and I am Yerington Paiute. I am a freshman at UO and I run for the cross country and track team, with my focus being long distance. My major is undeclared but I am leaning towards art. After college I plan to work for Nike in their N7 division designing shoes, and making them more affordable to indigenous minorities in the US. Planning community outreaches and creating grants working with the different tribes is also something I’m interested in. I graduated highschool with a 4.0 GPA and am striving for excellence in college as well. I am also the host of the annual Remembrance Run held mid August, which raises awareness about American Indian boarding schools. The run remembers but is not limited to my great grandfather who attended in the early 1900s and ran away 3 times. The journey is 50 miles and is only getting bigger with each year. This last year we hosted Nevadas governor and two senators.
