Hi my name is Loobert Denelus. I was originally born in Port-u-Prince, Haiti. After the earthquake in 2010 our family moved to Naples, Florida. I attended Naples high school for 3 years where I was able to received a full scholarship to Southeastern University, a small private Christian school in Lakeland, Florida that helped build my faith. After a couple of coaching changes at southeastern, I received an opportunity to transfer to Benedict College, an HBCU in Columbia, South Carolina to be with a familiar coach. While at Benedict College I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to raise my GPA up to 3.95 while majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sports Management. In the 2022-23 season, I was nominated 1st-team all-conference, SIAC Defensive Player of the Year, and 1st-team AFCA all-American. In the future I aspire to be a sports psychologist and own different training facilities to help the next generation maximize athletics potential and remove limiting beliefs.
