Hi, I’m Luke Gainer — pitcher for the University of Nebraska Omaha Baseball team and what some might call a STUDENT-athlete (emphasis on both). I’m just out here having a good time playing ball with my guys while wrapping up my Biology degree. This summer, I’ll be starting medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. A few things you should know about me: before every game, I have to get a slice of Casey’s pizza. My energy drink of choice? Red Bull — no debate. And after a long day on the field, you’ll probably find me in the Fazoli’s drive-thru ordering Chicken Alfredo… with six extra breadsticks.
