Hey there! My name is Lydia Martyn (/Burts, I just got married in January of 2024). I am a dedicated student athlete pursuing a master's in social work at OU, while also pursing dreams of playing professional volleyball. I previously graduated from Liberty University, where I successfully balanced academics and a thriving volleyball career. Beyond sports and academics, I enjoy singing, crafting, hiking, dance or fitness classes, snacking (fruit/desserts), and GAME NIGHTS. Seriously, I play card or board games every night with my husband or friends. My strong belief in Jesus defines my values, driving my heart’s passion for community and service. As a student athlete, I uniquely connect with my community through sports while aspiring to make a difference as a future social worker.
