I’ve never had a normal hometown story,because I’ve had over 15 of them. Growing up as a military brat, change wasn’t just part of life, it was the foundation of it. I’ve lived all over the U.S. and across multiple countries, constantly adapting to new cultures, new schools, and new people. It taught me how to stay grounded in motion, how to build resilience, and how to lead with integrity no matter where I go. Sports were always my anchor. I swam my entire life, until one unexpected conversation changed everything. I was recruited to row in college, a sport I hadn’t imagined myself in but quickly realized was exactly where I was meant to be. The grit, teamwork, and mental toughness it demands matched everything I’d been training for my whole life. Now, I row for the University of Texas, and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. As I head into my junior year, I’m not just focused on winning, I’m focused on making an impact, both on and off the water.
