Hello! My name is Maddie, and I’m a passionate and driven student-athlete at the University of Connecticut, where I am entering my fourth year as a nursing major and a proud member of the D1 rowing team. I walked onto the UConn Women's Rowing Team my freshman year, despite never having rowed before. Coming from an athletic background as a 3-sport athlete in high school, I embraced the challenge of learning a completely new sport. In addition to my academic and athletic pursuits, I am deeply committed to personal growth and self-improvement. I have been sober for just under three years, and this journey has reinforced my belief in the power of discipline, self-awareness, and sustainable health and wellness practices. During the summer of 2022, after my first season rowing with UConn, I trained and competed with the USRowing U23 High Performance team. At Summer Nationals, I raced in both the pair which advanced to the semi finals, and the coxed four which placed 2nd in the finals.
