My name is Margaret Mann, and I am currently a student at Wright State University studying Chemistry. Recently I have picked up Jiu Jitsu but my background is mainly wrestling folk style and freestyle for one year at Siena Heights University. My wrestling journey began in eighth grade when I was the statistician for the team.  My sophomore year of high school, I decided to join the school team as the first ever girl wrestler on an all male team.  I have made two appearances in the OHSAA State Women’s Wrestling Tournament.  My senior year, I placed second in the District tournament and seventh in the State tournament.  I became known as the girl who went from “Stat to States.”  Wrestling helped me grow in character and as a leader.  It has helped me through adversities such as my hearing loss.  I have mild to severe hearing loss in both ears and wear bilateral hearing aids. I plan to continue to grow and support my community through advocacy for people with hearing disabilities.
